East of Eden: This is my favorite James Dean movie, that's not much of a statement because he only made three movies before he died, however it's still true. This movie is based on the last quarter or so of John Stienbeck's book by the same title, the plot is a retelling of the story of Adam and Eve and the garden of Eden. It's a very thought provoking story and James Dean and Julie Harris are wonderful in the movie.
