The Seven Samurai: I've been wanting to see this movie since I saw the Magnificent Seven, which I learned was based on The Seven Samurai. The two movies are very similar and I wish that I'd watched the two movies in the opposite order. It was a bit hard to want to finish Samurai because it was so similar to the Seven, to the point that I could say, oh this is that same character etc. Samurai is very long and while it's well made, that's a lot of subtitles to read and it's also more crude than I remember the Seven being. I find my self over all drawn more to the Seven over the Samurai, both are good but in the Seven are actors I know, and a paradigm I understand much better, it's more accessible to me.

The Great Gatsby: This movie was really well made, I wish it had been around when I read ("read") the book in high school. It was an interesting choice to include modern music though.
Lincoln: This movie was pretty amazing, the sort of movie that everyone should see at least once. There's an amazing ensemble cast.I don't think I would want to watch it repeatedly but it was a great movie and I'm glad I saw it.

rise of the guardians
Rise of the Guardians: This movie was a bit like Wreck it Ralph in how I felt about it. It was entertaining, I laughed some (Hugh Jackman as the Easter bunny = funny) but I don't really know that I need to ever see it again.

Wreck it Ralph: This was an okay movie, it was fun and nostalgic to childhood. Not really one that I'd want to see over and over again.
Oblivion: A friend and I went to see this at the dollar theater, we'd gone to see a different movie but it was $10 at the dollar theater, so we saw Oblivion instead. I didn't have high expectations for the movie, Tom Cruise, appocalyptic... but it was a pretty good movie, interesting, twists and turns. One thing I enjoyed though were some serious Star Wars references.

Clue: I've heard about this movie and it's been recommended to me and quoted to me over the years but what finally got me to watch it was the Psych 100th episode. The episode spoofs and pays homage to the cult classic and to fully appreciate the episode, I had to watch the movie. It was crazy and weird and pretty enjoyable, I think I'll probably be watching this again in the future.
